1. Be Honest
- Use accurate photos and descriptions.
- List only items you own or are authorized to trade.
- Disclose defects, missing parts, safety issues, repairs, recalls, restrictions, or condition problems.
- Do not misrepresent an item's brand, authenticity, value, condition, origin, age, legality, or availability.
- Do not create fake accounts, fake listings, fake trades, fake reviews, or misleading trust signals.
2. Trade Lawfully
- Follow all federal, state, local, and platform rules.
- Do not list, request, trade, promote, or facilitate prohibited items.
- Do not use TradeGroove for illegal services, stolen goods, counterfeit goods, fraud, trafficking, threats, extortion, money laundering, or evading law.
- Do not help another person avoid our rules.
3. Respect Other Users
- Do not harass, threaten, bully, stalk, abuse, exploit, or intimidate anyone.
- Do not use hate speech, slurs, sexual harassment, unwanted sexual content, violent threats, or degrading language.
- Do not discriminate based on protected characteristics, including race, color, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age, veteran status, or other protected status.
- Do not share another person's private information without permission.
4. Keep Communication Safe
- Use in-app messages until you are comfortable sharing contact details.
- Do not send spam, scams, phishing links, malware, deceptive payment links, or unrelated promotions.
- Do not pressure users to move off platform to avoid safety, moderation, or payment protections.
- Do not use messages to arrange illegal trades, prohibited items, harassment, threats, or unsafe meetups.
5. Use Safe Meetup Practices
- Meet in a public, well-lit place.
- Bring another adult or tell someone where you are going.
- Inspect items before trading.
- Leave if anything feels unsafe, pressured, rushed, or inconsistent with the listing.
- Call emergency services first if there is immediate danger.
6. Make Good-Faith Trades
- Show up on time or cancel promptly.
- Bring the item described in the listing.
- Let the other user inspect the item.
- Do not switch items, hide defects, pressure a user, or change material terms at the meetup.
- Do not retaliate if someone declines a trade.
7. Report Problems
Use TradeGroove's report and block tools for suspicious listings, unsafe behavior, harassment, scams, prohibited items, counterfeit goods, recalled items, threats, or policy violations.
False, abusive, or retaliatory reports are not allowed. Reports should be made in good faith.
8. Enforcement
TradeGroove may remove content, limit distribution, restrict messaging, pause listings, issue warnings, suspend accounts, terminate accounts, preserve records, block devices, or contact authorities where appropriate. See the Moderation and Enforcement Policy for more detail.
