TradeGroove Law Enforcement and Safety Requests Policy
Last updated: June 26, 2026
Effective date: June 26, 2026
This policy explains how TradeGroove handles law enforcement, emergency, preservation, and safety-related requests. It is intended for users, law enforcement, regulators, and safety partners.
TradeGroove is not an emergency service. If there is immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
1. Request Channels
Law enforcement and safety requests should be sent to:
safety@tradegroove.app
Mailing address:
TradeGroove LLC
213 2nd Street, Huntington Beach, CA 92648
Emergency requests should include "Emergency Request" in the subject line. Non-emergency legal requests should include "Legal Request" in the subject line.
2. Emergency Requests
TradeGroove may voluntarily disclose limited information if we have a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to prevent death, serious physical injury, child exploitation, active violence, or another urgent emergency.
Emergency requests should include:
- Requesting agency or organization.
- Requester's name, title, badge or ID number if applicable, agency email, and phone number.
- The nature of the emergency.
- The TradeGroove account, listing, phone, email, user ID, message, or other identifier involved.
- The specific information requested.
- Why the information is needed immediately.
TradeGroove may seek follow-up legal process after responding to an emergency request.
3. Legal Process
For non-emergency disclosure of user information, TradeGroove generally requires valid legal process, such as a subpoena, court order, search warrant, or equivalent process issued by an authority with jurisdiction.
TradeGroove reviews requests for facial validity, scope, jurisdiction, and consistency with applicable law. We may object to or reject requests that are overbroad, invalid, unclear, informal, or inconsistent with user rights.
4. Preservation Requests
TradeGroove may preserve available records for a limited period after receiving a valid preservation request. Preservation does not guarantee that records exist, that they contain the requested information, or that they will be disclosed without proper legal process.
Preservation requests should identify the relevant account, listing, message, transaction, phone number, email address, user ID, date range, and investigation basis.
5. User Notice
TradeGroove may notify users before disclosing their information unless prohibited by law, court order, safety risk, fraud risk, emergency circumstances, or other valid reason. We may delay notice where appropriate.
6. Narrow Disclosure
TradeGroove aims to disclose only information reasonably responsive to a valid request. Available information may depend on account status, retention periods, deletion, backups, logging, technical limitations, and whether records exist.
7. Safety Reports from Users
Users should use in-app report and block tools when available. For serious issues, users may also contact safety@tradegroove.app with screenshots, listing links, user names, dates, messages, and a concise description.
If a user believes a crime occurred or someone is in immediate danger, they should contact local emergency services first.
8. No Private Dispute Investigations
TradeGroove may review user disputes for policy enforcement, but we do not act as a court, insurer, escrow agent, investigator, appraiser, authenticator, or law enforcement agency. Users are responsible for pursuing private legal remedies where appropriate.
